That’s one mean-looking Hare Krsna lady! LOL!
This is my favorite cartoon yet–funny, yet sadly profound. Fanaticism in whatever dress–religious, political, racial, ethnic, etc–is the real enemy. It is the cause of most of the wars, or genocide in the world. My way, or the highway! Intolerance and extremism are the opposite of kindness, mercy, understanding, compassion and true spirituality.
Agreed! Reminds me of the Beatles song, “Revolution.”
And remember: the Beatles cut two versions of “Revolution” with two very different tones.
Actually I wasn’t even thinking of fundamentalism when I drew the comic, it was more about different people coming up with different means to solve the problems (the burning city) that we face in the world.
But it’s nice that people draw their own meanings from the comics. Thanks for the comments!
