Actually, for a while now, I've been dying to lay my hands on Dr. Ravi Gupta's (Radhika Ramana Dasa's) 'The Caitanya Vaisnava Vedanta of Jiva Gosvami,' the published book version of his 2004 Oxford doctoral thesis, which is at present available. At $ 160 a copy, it's going to set me back $ 200 or so, shipping included, but it is very much something that is on my to-do list for 2010. Mahaprabhu was intoxicated, Jiva Goswami was intoxicated and all the great Vaishnavas were intoxicated on Krishna prema (even Srila Prabhuapda had a buzz). Back in the old says of the HK movement there was a slogan "stay high forever" (something like that). It was quite obvious from the very onset of Srila Prabhupada's mission that KC is about getting high on Hari-nama and intoxicated on Krishna prema (Prabhupada-prema - Guru- prema). Gaurahari-bol - Gaurahari-bol - Gaurahari-bol ! Party-on!! Drink the intoxicating nectar of Hari-nama. It’s quite obvious that this Hari-bhakti is about being intoxicated.
