    To this day, I’m not sure that the Western gosthyanandis have entirely reconciled their desire to “make devotees” and their need to avoid the ninth offense against the Holy Name, preaching its glories to the faithless. There’s a fine line between bestowing mercy and enabling aparadha — a line that, thankfully, can be drawn by the mature and pure devotee, but that in the last 50 years has obviously been crossed more often than would have been ideal.
